Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello
THE Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom and Chairman Ijumu Local Government Area Traditional Council in Kogi state, Oba Williams Ayeni, on Sunday, lauded the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, over the unity of the people of the state in his three years of governing the state.
Speaking on the occasion of the third anniversary of the governor, the monarch noted that the governor had eradicated ethnicity among the major groups in the state.
According to him, Kogi state in the past had been divided by ethnic and tribal differences which have hindered its growth and development.
He said: “Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello has united the people by promoting the unity of the people. This is an indication that better things ahead.

“The present administration has performed creditably well in providing infrastructure, provision of quality health care, improved education and reforms in the state Civil Service.”
Ayeni added that the upgrading of some traditional stools in Ijumu local government area would further lead to the development of the community.
The traditional ruler, however, appealed to the people of the state irrespective of their political affiliations, religion and ethnic groups to join hands with the Governor in his quest to give the state a facelift.
Congratulating Bello on the third year of his administration, Ayeni noted that such developments would be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, urging the people to contribute to the upliftment of the state.
