A 30-year-old man, identified as Samuel, drowned at the Elegushi beach in Lagos after going for a prayer session.
This was disclosed by the Lagos police command SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Wednesday.
The police reported that divers were working to recover the body of a 30-year-old man who allegedly drowned at Elegushi Beach in Lagos during a prayer session.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos police command, disclosed that the man, identified as Samuel, had gone to the beach with friends to pray.
The incident was reported to the Ilasan Police Division at about 7:20 a.m. on Tuesday by an unnamed individual.

According to the report, Samuel and three friends had left Igbesan in Ogun at midnight to pray at Elegushi Beach in Lekki. During the prayer session, around 4:00 a.m., Samuel allegedly drowned.
Detectives from the division promptly visited the scene, and efforts are ongoing to recover the body. The family of the deceased has been contacted, and the investigation continues.
