TWO men Iyanu Ogunsanmi; 20, and Eze Izuchuckwu; 21, who allegedly conspired to steal property worth N13 million, on Tuesday appeared in a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Ogunsanmi and Izuchuckwu were arraigned alongside Emeka Iheagwu, 29, who allegedly bought the stolen property.
The defendants, whose addresses were not given, are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, receiving stolen property and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande told the court that the trio and one other committed the offences on Jan. 23, at No 15, Ilamoye St., Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos.
Osayande said that the first and second defendants conspired to steal a Mitsubishi counter mini truck worth N13 million and 290,000 empty crates of beer.

She alleged that Ogunsanmi and Izuchuckwu sold the 290,000 empty crates of beer to Iheagwu, who knew they were stolen.
She said the stolen property belonged to Denike Agoro Enterprises Ltd.
The offences contravene sections 287, 328 and 411 of the Criminal Code Laws Lagos State, 2015.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the three count charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Oluyemisi Adelaja, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100, 000 each, with two sureties each in like sum.
Adelaja adjourned the case until March 11, for the mention.
