Asolo Chika Chukwu, better known as 2Squad Baba, is one of the fastest rising music act to watch out for in 2024. The talented act, who is also a songwriter cum actor from Abiriba, OhafiaOga, Abia state started out in 2004. He kicked off his career in Aba, Abia state but relocated to Atlanta Georgia where he established his musical prowess and performed with A list artist over there. He also had a few collaborations with known acts over there.
With 30 tracks and 16 albums as one of his accomplishments while abroad, 2Squad Baba is working on new singles portraying Nigeria’s rich culture to the world titled ‘No Wahala’ and ‘Let’s Ride’. His self titled single is enjoying massive air play across major stations in Nigeria.
Fans should also look forward to two collaborations with great artists in the nearest future.
The famous singer is also looking to start a record label and venture into movie production and general entertainment.
On what he thinks can be done to better the lot of Afrobeat in Nigeria, 2Squad Baba believes there should be more managers and administrative support to galvanize the industry and create a system that would accommodate more professionals that will drive not just the musicians but also the engineers, dancers and other people who work in the music industry.
