All roads in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, tomorrow will lead to the prestigious Agodi Gardens as the much anticipated maiden edition of the Ibadan Countdown Festival will begin and continue till the 31st. The city will be hosting a first of its kind concert which will see award winning superstar, Innocent Idibia, a.k.a 2baba, alongside artistes like 9ice, Saeon, Skuki, Mz kiss, among many other notable acts storm the stage to usher fun seekers into the Christmas day proper.
2face Idibia, the headline act, in a video release online, enjoined fans and fun lovers to troop out en masse to witness a live concert like no other while 9ice called it ‘the mother of all concerts’.
Also billed to perform are artistes like Fabulous Pizzy, Geniuzz, Saeon, Lamboginny, Sheun Natural, Keanzo, Mz Kiss, Tobey Grey, Tushow, Efa, Oyinkanade and many more.
The event will continue on the 25th, with themed days such as the family day, food day, fashion day, business and networking day, cultural day, youth day until the 31st which will see the countdown event proper with fire works to usher in the new year, alongside artistes like the Remedies (Tony Tetuila, Eedris and Eddie, Artquake, Azadus, Jazzman Olofin, among others.
The event is packaged by YL Concepts, Ayo Orunmuyi and company, RoyMedia, Muslaf Entertainment and Ibadan City Info.
The organisers, in a statement through its Director, Administration, Ayo Orunmuyi, said that the event promises to be one of its kind and will redefine entertainment events in the city.
“We have left no stone unturned to ensure that we deliver a world class event. Security of lives and property is also foremost, asides the fact that we are bringing the best of entertainment to Ibadan”, he said.
