The police in Lagos State are on the trail of a 23-year-old man, Michael (surname withheld), who allegedly stabbed his parents to death on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Alhaji Afeez Gbadamosi Street in the Ejigbo area of Lagos in a yet-to-be ascertained circumstance.

The suspect reportedly stabbed his parents and younger sister. While the parents died before help could reach them, the younger sister survived the attack.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the suspect, who is on the run, might have been provoked by an admonition from his parents to turn a new leaf.
