As preparations for the 77th birthday celebration of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) peaks, well-wishers of the renowned cleric, are expected to witness another universal worship in a 77-hour Marathon Messiah’s Praise.
The concert with the theme: Jesus, the Light of the World, will commence tomorrow and run till February 28, marking 77 hours in the presence of God.
Countries that will be participating this year include Nigeria, United States of America, Canada, England, Australia, Spain, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, Cameroon, Kenya, Netherlands, Sweden, Malaysia, South Africa, Ireland, Ukraine, Brazil, Israel, Zambia, Ghana and New Zealand.
The organisers disclosed that in the spirit of perfection, “we will be maintaining the mode of operation adopted at the 76 hours of two stages: Nigeria and the Diaspora.”
The Nigerian stage will be at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, Nigeria, while the Diaspora will have 20 stages spread across the participating countries outside Nigeria. Nigeria’s stage will host complete 77 hours of praise and worship non-stop, while concurrently, the 77 hours will be shared among the stages in Diaspora nations.
It was also gathered that more than 210 worship ministers and choral groups would be ministering across the 21 participating countries.
Some of the gospel artistes that will perform at the event include, Evangelist Joseph Adelakun, popularly known as Ayewa; Big Bolaji, RCCG, One Halleluyah artistes.
