2027: We’re bracing up to provide alternative platform for Nigerians — SDP

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has said it is repositioning itself to provide an alternative platform for positive change in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Araba Rufus Aiyenigba.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) recently met in Abuja, reaffirming its commitment to providing a viable and credible platform for Nigerians seeking good governance.

The SDP aims to champion social justice, improve citizens’ lives, and promote national progress and sustainable development.

The party has simplified membership registration at the state level and plans to upgrade its registration process to incorporate computer-assisted harmonization and revalidation features.

The SDP emphasised its stance against merger or clean slate modes of collaboration, instead opting to welcome new members with open arms. The party is working to strengthen its local and diaspora structures to position itself for success in the 2027 elections.

The NWC has devised strategies to fine-tune the management of the party’s affairs and interests at various levels, facilitating seamless harmonization and integration of old and new members across the country.

The party’s efforts are geared towards providing a refreshing hope for Nigerians seeking a better future.
