Southern Kaduna All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders have called for massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in appreciation of his approval for the conversion of the late Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan, into a Federal Medical Centre (FMC).
They also commended Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Uba Sani, and the member representing Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Health, Hon. Amos Gwamna, for making this a reality.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Kaduna over the weekend, Mr. Michael Auta, who contested for the senatorial seat for Kaduna South in the 2023 general election, expressed optimism that the people of Southern Kaduna now feel included in Nigeria’s development.

The party chieftains also praised the good people of Southern Kaduna for their hospitality and peaceful nature, urging them to reciprocate the gestures being extended to the region by voting massively for President Tinubu and Governor Sani in 2027.
“We sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his kind consideration in approving the conversion of Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan, into a Federal Medical Centre, barely weeks after the Federal University of Applied Sciences was also approved for the senatorial district.
“We also extend our gratitude to Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Uba Sani for their support and for providing an enabling environment in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. We also acknowledge the efforts of the Honourable Representative of the Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Amos Gwamna, in ensuring the realization of this conversion.
“We appeal to the good people of the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District to reciprocate these good gestures in 2027 by voting massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. I can assure you that more dividends of democracy will come to our region,” he said.
One of the key benefits highlighted by Engr. Auta was the expected increase in healthcare access for the people of Kafanchan and its neighboring communities. He noted that by converting the general hospital into a Federal Medical Centre, the region would benefit from advanced medical facilities, specialized treatments, and an overall upgrade in healthcare services.
He also stressed that the conversion would create job opportunities, providing employment for both medical and administrative staff, thus boosting the local economy.
