Ahead of 2027, a chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, and other notable youth leaders have concluded plans to unveil a socio-political organisation under the banner of Team Nigeria Project (TNP), to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.
The Director General of the organisation, Mr Olamilekan Taiwo Pedro, made this known at a press conference in Lagos on Wednesday, stating that TNP, which would be led by MC Oluomo, a prominent mobiliser, would help to bolster citizens’ participation in governance across the country.
Pedro said TNP was poised to mobilise support for the re-election of President Tinubu, noting that the massive economic and infrastructural transformation the nation had witnessed under him should continue beyond 2027.
“Under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, the country has since 2023 witnessed an economic turnaround as a result of tough but necessary decisions, including the removal of fuel subsidy. Today, our IGR is on a steady increase while the states receive more allocations from the FG to embark on developmental projects.

“The local currency, the Naira, has been stabilised, local refineries are working, our people are receiving adequate supplies, and small and medium-scale enterprises are thriving as a result of improved infrastructure, particularly in power and roads,” he said.
“The massive investment in agriculture has brought about food security as the country no longer relies on imports to feed our population. The federal highways across the country are beautiful to behold.
“TNP believes strongly that a government that has done so much for the country can only be rewarded with a re-election,” he added.
The TNP Director General, however, disclosed that several directorates had been put in place to mobilise Nigerians, including women and youths in large numbers, to support the election of President Tinubu in 2027, noting that top officials of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would grace the formal launching of the organisation next month in Abuja.
