2027: Group vows to buy nomination form for Reps member, Abejide

The Yagba Concern Youth, under the leadership of its President, Comr. Olorunsola Temitope, has declared its firm and unwavering support for Hon. Leke Abejide, who represents Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

Responding to calls on Thursday urging Hon. Abejide to step aside in the next election based on rotational sentiments, Comr. Olorunsola stated emphatically that no one is “more Mopa than the other.” As a proud son of Mopa himself, he affirmed that the youth stand for progress and development, not outdated political sentiments that do not serve the interests of the Yagba people.

“Hon. Leke Abejide has proven to be a true representative of the people, delivering the dividends of democracy and transforming the constituency in an unprecedented manner. His tenure has set a new standard for effective representation, and Yagba cannot afford to return to the days of mediocrity. We need a voice, not a benchwarmer.

“For this reason, Yagba Concern Youth has resolved to purchase Hon. Leke Abejide’s nomination and expression of interest forms when the time comes. His exceptional performance justifies another term, and we refuse to sacrifice tested and trusted leadership for mere political promises that cannot be guaranteed.

“The ballot remains the ultimate decider of leadership, and no one should hide under the guise of rotation to subvert the will of the people. We will not allow Yagba to be dragged backwards. Hon. Leke Abejide has raised the bar, and we stand resolutely behind him.”
