2027: APC reconciliation committee vows to reclaim Adamawa

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State have declared that they were determined to win the North East state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the next general elections.

The chieftains who are members of the Reconciliation Committee put in place by the party’s national working committee made the declaration after a meeting with the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The eight-member reconciliation team includes prominent politicians such as Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, and Binta Masi, as well as Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakubu, Dr Bridget Zidon and Isa Baba as the Secretary.

Addressing newsmen, the leader of the team, Senator Muhammed Mana said the party chieftains have resolved to bury their differences.

He said his team has been saddled with the responsibility of engaging aggrieved members, rebuilding grassroots connections, and strengthening the party’s structure.

“Adamawa is a critical state, and we are committed to ensuring APC wins majority seats in 2027. We will reach out to those who felt sidelined during the primaries and general elections to unify the party under the APC banner.

“The committee plans to start its efforts immediately by engaging party members at the unit, ward, and local government levels. Our goal is to create a platform for unity and prepare the next generation of leaders.

“We intend to make sure that everybody comes back. That’s why we are starting very early. The 2027 election is about two or three years to go. So, that’s why we are starting very early to go down to all the nooks and crannies of Adamawa State to woo people to come back,” Mana said.

Also speaking, Senator Masi expressed confidence in the committee’s efforts, adding that, “The battle line has been drawn, and by Allah’s grace, we will replicate our past successes in 2027.

“We believe that we cannot move forward if we are not together, bonded together. And as we are moving now, a lot of people have started seeing that indeed, there is light in the tunnel, and people are coming back.

“So definitely, the battle line has been drawn, and by the special grace of the Almighty, what we did eight years back. We will repeat it again in 2027,” he said.
