The Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) stated that it is the only political party capable of presenting a credible candidate who will make the state proud in 2026.
The party Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi who made the remark in a statement, said that, the state deserves “NNPP which is credible and sincere and assured that, the party would present a candidate that would make the state proud; an encompassing candidate in the next election”l.
According to him, “the present pitiable condition of Osun should be a source of concern to every indigene. In view of this, the party believed there should be a better replacement for a change of hand if truly Osun will reclaim it’s leading position in the comity of states.”
Odeyemi noted that “Expectations were high when PDP was about to take over from APC in 2018, but reversed is the case now. So many promises left unfulfilled.
“For us at NNPP, we strongly believe that the state of the Living Springs deserves better. We deserve a leader with vast knowledge about governance, an overall leader that knows everything about anything anytime anyday. Osun deserves better than the present situation.
“Osun needs to be delivered from the shackle of those political parties we have tested but not trusted. We need to rise above political sentiment.”
“Let’s work together for a better and brighter Osun. Political parties should come together to support the best in 2026, it is about the prosperity of our dear state as history will never forgive us if we get it wrong this time again, he submitted.
