2025: Prioritise youth empowerment for economic growth, insecurity reduction, FG urged

Leading Nigerian betting platform, Woskybet, has called on all levels of government to prioritize the empowerment of youths with requisite skills to foster economic growth and curb insecurity.

In his New Year message, the Managing Director of Woskybet, Ismaila Yusuf Atus, emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the government and the private sector to alleviate poverty and economic hardships in the country.

“As we step into 2025, let’s focus on key ideas that can drive our national development. Supporting education and skills training is essential for a prosperous future. Empowering our youth with the right skills will pay dividends for our nation,” Atus stated.

Highlighting the importance of partnership, he added, “Collaboration remains vital. By working together—through community projects and supporting local businesses—we can create a stronger economy and uplift our neighborhoods. Every small action contributes to a larger impact.”

Atus also urged stakeholders in the betting industry to promote responsible betting practices to enhance sector integrity while contributing to national development.

“As we embrace 2025, let’s commit to making choices that benefit our nation. In the sports betting industry, promoting responsible betting practices will not only protect our players but also enhance the integrity and growth of the entire sector,” he said.

The Woskybet MD called on Nigerians to prioritize health and well-being, noting that “a healthier population lays the foundation for a more productive nation.”
