Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has charged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure life is more abundant for all by prioritising and accelerating Nigeria’s political and economic development, with better people-conscious economic reforms and fair and just political restructuring, come 2025.
Afenifere gave the charge as it commiserated with families that lost their members in various stampedes during Christmas giveaways across the country, praying that God would give them succour as they grieved and laid their dead to rest.
The pan-Yoruba socio-political group said this in a statement signed by its Deputy Leader, HRH Oba Oladipo Olaitan, and National Publicity Secretary, Prince Justice Faloye, respectively, a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Monday, even as it urged for more preventive and organisational guidelines on the part of the government to prevent future reoccurrences having to do with stampedes.
Afenifere, while wishing everyone a happy New Year, said it hoped for better welfare and security for Nigerians as a whole, adding: “In 2025, we wish to see a turnaround move towards an egalitarian society that values lives and rights of everyone.”

“The Pan Nigeria sociopolitical group Afenifere issued a statement, signed by the Deputy Leader HRH Oba Oladipo Olaitan and National Publicity Secretary Prince Justice Faloye, commiserating with families that lost family members in various stampedes during Xmas giveaways across the nation.
“Afenifere wishes the family succour as they grieve and lay their dead to rest. We also hope for more preventive and organisational guidelines to prevent future reoccurrences.
“Afenifere wishes everyone a happy New Year and hopes for better welfare and security for Nigerians as a whole. In 2025, we wish to see a turnaround move towards an egalitarian society that values the lives and rights of everyone.
“We hope the Tinubu administration can make Life More Abundant for all by prioritising and accelerating Nigeria’s political and economic development, with better people-conscious economic reforms and fair and just political restructuring.”
