The immediate past Attorney General of Sokoto State, Dr Suleiman Usman (SAN), has felicitated the Editor Saturday Tribune, Dr Lasisi Olagunju, for winning the Nigerian Media Merit Award (NMMA) for Columnist of the Year 2024.
Usman, a Life Bencher, in a congratulatory statement addressed to the renowned columnist and made available to Tribune Online, said the “prestigious accolade is a testament to your exceptional skill, unwavering dedication, and profound impact on the media landscape of our nation.”
He noted that the Editor Saturday Tribune has, through his unique voice and perspective, contributed to public discourse both in Nigeria and overseas.

The former attorney general further described the award as a well-deserved recognition, expressing optimism that with Olagunju’s continued contributions to media and journalism, future endeavours will achieve even greater heights.
