Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, lost out on all three of his nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards.
The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker, who was a first-time nominee for the prestigious music award, failed to take home a win in his debut attempt at the ceremony, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, United States, on Sunday.
Davido lost the Best African Music Performance category to South African artist, Tyla’s ‘Water.’
He also missed out on the Best Global Music Performance award, which was won by ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia.
Finally, he was unable to secure the Best Global Album award, which went to Shakti’s ‘The Moment.’
