2023: Return home with Buhari, PDP new generation tasks ministers

Ministers who served Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari have been charged to return to their respective homes come May 29, 2023, at the termination of this administration.

People’s Democratic Party youth group, the New Generation, made the call in Abuja over what it described as serious damage to Nigeria’s development and growth by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

Director-General of the PDP, Audu Mahmood, pointed out that Nigeria’s story of woes from the value of the Naira to the Dollar, the economy, security and continued rise of commodities in Nigeria, it was safer for the country to have the President and its team to take a back seat in governance at all levels for. New set of Nigerians to build the economy.

His words: “Our nation stands on the perimeter of crisis. An astounding calamity beckons. But this current misfit of leadership can be averted disaster if they manage the remaining of our fragile union.

“The failed leadership and governance at hand cut across every elected or appointed member of this government.

Therefore, we ask that all members of the Federal Executive Council and Governors of the APC who do not have solutions to the current calamities at sight and the aberration in place – to honorably and with a bit of shame refute their plans of planning to return or seek electoral power to continue or complete the damage they started.

“In May 29, 2023 every member of this government should join President Muhammadu Buhari and return to their respective villages.

”You all have done enough damage to our today, and the future, please go and let Nigeria be again.”

Audu said that “every Nigerian deserves a Certificate of Survival for the hardship caused by All Progressives Congress (APC), yet Nigerians have been able to survive it.

Audu listed some of the good state the economy was when the PDP was in power while to include: ” an economy with a stable currency, where the Naira exchanged from N199 to $1, and Nigeria had a single-digit inflation rate.

“Today, the current administration is headlining an inflation rate above 15%, with an exchange rate of N570 to $1. A bag of cement which was sold N1,200 per bag in 2015, is N4,200 per bag. A crate of egg in 2015 was N600, under the APC administration, it is now N2,300. A 50kg bag of Rice was N7,500, but today it is N28,000.

The question that begs for answer is whether the income of the common man has increased to be able to keep up with the increasing hike? He asked.
