Seyi Makinde
A group of Physically challenged people in Oyo state under the aegis of Authentic People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Disability Vanguard has vowed to mobilise not less than one hundred thousand physically challenged across the state for the second term ambition of the governor of the state, Mr Seyi Makinde.
The president of the group, Wasiu Nurudeen, said his organisation in conjunction with the Special Adviser to the governor of Oyo state on disability matters, Ayodele Adekanbi, had begun grassroots mobilisation for the governor.
Nurudeen said it was time for the aggrieved members of the party to have a rethink and return to the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Nurudeen who was apparently reacting to the outcome of the PDP national convention in Abuja in a statement he personally signed said it is obvious that those fighting Makinde lack the political clout to engage the governor of the state.
The former supervisory councillor of ward 8 Ibadan North Local Government said his love and support for the government of Seyi Makinde is unquantifiable, urging the entire indigenes and residents of Oyo state to continue praying for the governor.
“Let me start by congratulating my governor, father, leader and uncle, Mr Seyi Makinde on the emergence of an Ibadan-born enigma and former deputy governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, as the national Vice-Chairman (south) of our great party.
“I want to say this is not the end of our struggle but the beginning. PDP must continue to be great. I am one of those believing in the leadership of governor Seyi Makinde and I want to say with high sense of responsibility that I with the support of my people mobilise 100,000 physically challenged in the state for the second term ambition of my dear governor.”
