2023: Cross River first APC Senatorial aspirant arrives at open declaration tour

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River has finally commenced its official tour of open declarations for various political positions in the state ahead of the 2023 general elections, with the Managing Director, Cross River state Water Board Limited, Chief Victor Effiom Ekpo, declaring to contest for the office of the Senator representing the Southern Senatorial District of the state.

Accompanied by his wife, Stella Effiom, the ward chairman APC elders forum, political appointees and other dignitaries, to  Akamkpa ward, Akpap Okoyong, in Odukpani Local Government Area, where the deceleration took place and was witnessed by a huge crowd, the aspirant encouraged his constituents to go for their continuous voters registration and obtain their permanent voter cards PVCs, so as not to be self disenfranchised in the next election, and promised to promote education, agriculture and infrastructure if elected.

“I have excess capacity, so vote for me, vote for APC, for those that have not done the voter’s registration, please we have started the registration already, so please go and enrol, so that once it is elections time, we will all queue and cast our votes and then celebrate our victory. 

“My manifesto is ready, I know everyone here, so I know your problems; if you elect me as senator the first thing I will do is to to rehabilitate the traditional rulers council Secretariat. This our civic centre, I will construct a better one for us. I will promote education, agriculture and provide employment opportunities for our people,” he said.

Responding, the chairman, APC elders forum, Akakpa ward in Akpap Okoyong, Odukpani, Chief Eyo Otu Eyo said, ” I am very happy, we are the champions, there is no other party, except APC, of you vote any other party, you have made a very wrong choice.  We are going to win the elections come 2023,” he assured.

On his part, the wife of the aspirant and commissioner for local government affairs,  Mrs Stella Effiom, said “when the people of the southern Senatorial district vote for honourable victor Effiom, there will definitely have benefits of their votes, because he is indeed a material that believes in human development, he will expand the livelihood of everyone. I know that he is going to do very very well, if voted into power, as senator, representing the southern Senatorial district,” she affirmed.

The aspirant assured of human printed and favourable legislations if elected and promised to  provide tools for commercial agriculture, like tractors, to his people once elected into power. He said the governor has asked him I run as the most credible aspirant with capacity for that position in the Senatorial district.
