THE Presidential candidate of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Oby Ezekwesili has slammed the President Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice-president, Atiku Abubakar for their absence at the televised 2019 presidential debate on Saturday night.
President Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were conspicuously absent at the live presidential debate.
Oby Ezekwesili, when asked by the anchor of the programme on the absence of duo, said their failure to turn up to tell Nigerians what they plan to do for them was an announcement of their exit from governance or plan to govern Nigeria.

She added that it was time for citizens of this country to take charge of the destiny of Nigeria.
She said: “I stand before you today not because we are the best in this country but we have come with the sense that our country needs to be immediately rescued from the stronghold of the poor governance and bad politics.”
She said the two dominant parties have shown that they do not care about Nigerians, urging the citizens to make a choice.
“We must deny these groups the undue publicity they crave,” the minister said.
