The Urhobo born audacious leader who made the revelations in a statement he released to journalists asked Deltans to pray that God should do a new thing in Delta state as the whole world celebrates the new year.
His words, “Here is wishing you a Happy New Year, a prosperous 2019, a year that will usher in a new hope and a new dawn for the good people of Delta state “.

” I have seen your challenges these past years and I have been a witness to your toil and deprivation. Despite the abundant resources in our state, we have lived in acute poverty while a tiny few who ordinarily should lead live in tainted abundance from our common wealth.
“Our youth bulge rather than being a blessing today remains a time bomb. But in this new year, all we have to do is to pray and celebrate our God because He is about to do a new thing and we shall turn the corner and then and then Delta state shall witness unprecedented prosperity.”
He stated without any equication that the 2019 elections must mark that turning point and Deltans more than ever have the greatest opportunity to re-write their story.
“The APC government under the distinguished leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari he said is gradually but steadily and meticulously reconstructing the economy of Nigeria and the next four years is certain to witness massive economic development and growth.
Delta state he stressed must be repositioned not only to benefit from these developments but to produce some of the change-agents in the vanguard of this economic revival.
“I therefore urge you to continue to support the APC government of President Buhari so that together we shall witness and indeed benefit from this glorious change to come . Once again I wish you a happy and joyful New Year,” he concluded.
