The All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum in Anambra State has disassociated themselves from the subtle move by some individuals to create crisis in APC, pledging their loyalty and support to the leadership of the President Muhammadu Buhari and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
The elderstatemen, who congratulated Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on his emergence as the party’s Chairman, believed he will bring his vast experience as a former Governor, a comrade, activist and labour leader in managing all the vast interest in the party.
In a communiqué issued at the end of its meeting on Thursday, a copy of which was made available to Tribune Online in Awka, the Anambra State capital, hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for all he has been doing in South East most especially with the award and approval of the sum of N206 billion for the link road and associated infrastructures of the second Niger Bridge and also the approval and
the re-awarding of the contract for the rehabilitation of the Oji- Achi- Mmaku- awgu- ndeabor road in Enugu State at the sum of N11.558,6976 (11bn). We are happy with the quality of Contractors given
the job to execute and time of completion.
The communiqué signed by the Anambra APC Elders’ Forum praised Mr President for his commitment for Infrastructural renewal in South East.
The elders, who also passed vote of confidence on President Buhari and the National Chairman of the party, Gov Adams Oshiomole leadership, advised party leaders, aspirants and members of the party to put the acrimony of the November 18, 2017 governorship election and congress behind them and forge a common front to win 2019 Presidential election, National Assemblies and House of Assemblies Election for President Buhari and APC in Anambra State and South East.
