SEQUEL to the resounding success recorded in the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says it has become imperative to give Glory to God as well as the electorates for the goodwill it received from the people which culminating in its resounding victory at the polls.
In a statement signed and released to Journalists by Sambo Bello Danchadi, the State Publicity Secretary of the party in Sokoto. He commends the way and manner men, women and youths came out en masse to vote for the candidates of the party which included the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, which it describes as a testimony of the unwavering commitment of the people of the State to the change agenda.
According to Danchadi, “The APC wishes to thank the people of Sokoto State most sincerely for the trust and confidence they have reposed in us. We wish to assure them that the APC administration will continue to live up to their expectation.
” We are not unaware of the failed attempts made by our opponents to use huge financial and material inducements with a view to buying votes.
” The machinery of Government and State resources were also unjustifiably used to intimidate and induce voters. In spite of this, the electorate patriotically chose to massively vote for our party.
” It is also noted worthy that throughout the period of the electioneering campaigns we have conducted ourselves peacefully and in an orderly manner, which guaranteed the conduct of a hitch-free election across the state.

” The positive development is not unconnected with the excellent operational arrangements put in place by all the security agencies in the state.”
He further commends the Independent National Electoral Commission for putting up adequate arrangements that ensured free and fair elections throughout the state.
He also praised the leadership of the party in conducting peaceful and issues-based electioneering campaigns, “contrary to the abusive and dirty campaign of calumny by our opponents.”
In a related development, the publicity Secretary has appealed to the people of the State to fully participate in the last lap of the 2019 General Elections comes up on Saturday, 9th of March, 2019.

He urged the proof Sokoto, in particular, the party supporters to come out massively and vote for change, to enthrone a new government for Sokoto State.
