AS the 2019 election governorship draws nearer, the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Oyo State chapter on Friday unveiled its deputy governorship candidate, Mr Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan in a ceremony attended by major stakeholders of the party held at the Banquet hall, Premier hotel, Mokola, Ibadan.

Olaniyan, is a former Permanent Secretary in the Oyo State public service, who hails from Igboho, Orelope Local government area of the state.
He was a also a former General Manager, Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSTROMA) and who was a governorship aspirant under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), was presented to party faithful by the state chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha.
The party also inaugurated a 162-man campaign council that will drive the campaign of the party by the party’s legal adviser, Barrister Idowu Oyeleke.
Alhaji Mustapha, while addressing the party supporters said the choice was arrived at after due consultation with major stakeholders with a view to ensuring victory for the party.
He also charged members to comb the nooks and crannies of the state and work with real politicians to ensure that they canvass votes from all eligible voters in the state for PDP.
