Ezeude gave this pledge at a forum in Amukoko while responding to endorsement given her on the aspiration by the Non-indigenes Elders Forum, saying, “I have a passion to help mankind, I have joy when I put smiles on the faces of people.”
According to the PDP aspirant, who is the founder of Hope Alive Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, it is the desire to assist the less privileged in the society, in a large scale, through the charity foundation that brought her into politics.
“Representation is all about the people and you need to be close to them to give quality representation. I am going to carry the people along. It would be people oriented representation. I would take advantage of the numeric strength of non-indigenes in this area to get my votes and support irrespective of the fact that Lagos State is ruled by All Progressives Congress (APC),” she said.

While appreciating the Non-indigenes Elders Forum and promising not to let them down, Ezeude recalled that she never knew people noticed what she was doing through her foundation until she was called and given the offer to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
“When I was doing charity work through my foundation, I did not know that some people noticed it until they called me to represent them in this constituency,” she said, maintaining that she derived pleasure when she put smiles on the faces of people.
