2019: Osinbajo’s visits to Lagos markets with Tradermoney, vote-buying ― PDP

LAGOS State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday described the latest visit of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to certain markets in the state to physically share N10,000 to traders, in the name of Trader money Empowerment as clear action of pre-election vote buying, saying the gesture at this period is tainted with intent to buy the conscience of the traders to vote the ruling All Progressives Congress  in the State, come 2019.

The party equally described the recent visit of Osinbajo to African Shrine of late popular music star, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, “as an obvious manifestation of desperation and jitters as the vice president is not on record to have ever associated with the African shrine, but now running helter-skelter to visit the shrine for want of vote.”

Spokesperson of PDP, Mr Taofik Gani, said this in a release made available to newsmen in Lagos, but quickly assured that the party had no doubt that Lagosians would not vote the APC in 2019.

It, however, excused the traders and other groups to collect such money from APC but vote their conscience in the coming polls.
