2019: Osakwe remains our presidential candidate and not Odebudo ― DPP

THE National leadership ‎of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), on Friday, declared that Ambassador Johnson Felix Osakwe remained its Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections and not one Otunba Owolabi Odebudo ‘ who is currently parading himself as the presidential candidate of the Party” for the elections.

This was contained in a statement signed by the duo of ‎Chief Garshon Benson and ‎Alhaji Aminu Sadiq, the National Chairman and Acting National Secretary‎ of the Party respectively, which was made available to newsmen in Abuja yesterday.

‎The Party made it clear that Ambassador Osakwe candidacy was endorsed at its National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting held in Abuja on October 30th, this year with a unanimous support by all members.

It added that its former National Secretary, Alhaji Nafiu Bala Gombe has been equally been expelled from the party with immediate effect, following the recommendation of the party ‘s disciplinary Committee due to his involvement in several anti-party activities
