2019: Oduah declares ambition for second term in Senate

IN a bid to join force with the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano who is the Board of Trustees BoT, of the party, Senator Victor Umeh, National Chairman Chief Victor Oye and other stakeholders of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, to ensure effective representation and more development in the southeastern States, particularly Anambra state, the lawmaker representing Anambra North Senatorial District, has declared his intention to run for a second term in the 2019 general elections under the platform of APGA.

Senator Stella Oduah will be vying for a second term as the Senator to represent Anambra North Senatorial District at the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly come February 16, 2019.

This public declaration of interest was made known on Thursday, at the state chapter secretariat of the party in Awka, the Anambra state capital, where she also meet with the state executives on close door basis.

Some of the APGA chieftains who were present at the declaration include: Chief Ben. Obi (Igwe APGA), Hon. Mrs. Vivian Okadigbo, Chief Obinna Chris Emeneka, Chief Benson Nwawulu, Hon. Somtoochukwu Nkem Udeze, Chief Ibuzor Edward Obi, APGA youths leader Hon. Peter Ozumba, among others.

Addressing the press shortly after her declaration, the former Aviation Minister said after series of consultations with my
political leaders and the good people of Anambra North Senatorial district, I have concluded that I will run for a second term
in office as a Senator to represent them in the Senate come 2019.

Senator Oduah who was elected to the Senate in 2015 under the platform of the People Democratic Party PDP, but defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, to continued her political carrier, has surpassed the expectations of the people of Anambra North Senatorial district, with the recent sponsor of over 100 indigenous students on film production Academy and other Constituency Projects in the district, within a space of three and half years in the Senate.

Her tremendous impact has also been felt in the areas of Education, Youth Empowerment, Agriculture, Health and Community Development.

The State chairman of the party, Chief Norbert Obi, who applauded the decision of the lawmaker joining APGA, said her vast legislative experience and financial capacity would help actualized the mission and vision of APGA, to win all the elective positions in south-east States come 2019.
