DETERMINED to have a successful conduct of the forthcoming general elections, Bauchi State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun training of 250 Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs) .
The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Bauchi state, Ibrahim Abubakar disclosed this yesterday while declaring open a three days training holding at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi explaining that the training is a step taken by the commission to conduct a hitch free election on Feb 16 and March 2.

“As part of the preparations for the 2019 general glections, about 250 Supervisory Presiding Officer commenced training this week. INEC is commited to credible election in Bauchi state.We have carried out training of all categories of members of staff to equip them on various aspects of election management, ” he said.
He added that, “The commission is not leaving any stone unturned in its preparations for the elections; we will do our best to deliver on our mandate.”
The Resident Commissioner called on eligible voters who are yet to collect their permanent voter cards to do so before Feb. 8, to be able to vote saying, “We are still distributing the cards to their owners at INEC offices in each of the 20 local government areas in the state.”
