AS the 2019 general election draws near the need for the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and other relevant bodies to embark on aggressive sensitisation of voters on the need to take an active part during elections has been stressed.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday at Awa in Orumba North Local Government Area, the traditional Prime Minister of the Community Chief Israel Ezue decried the luke-warm attitude of eligible voters in participating in
elections adding that more sensitisation and voter education are needed to check the ugly trend.
Chief Ezue who described democracy as the best form of government cautioned politicians against acts capable of truncating it.

He charged Nigerians to see this year’s general elections as a National project warning the electorate against vote buying and selling.
Chief Ezue called on Nigerians to only embark on those programmes that will promote peace and unity.
Contributing, the President-General of Neni Town Union in Anaocha Local Government area Chief Chukwudi Mbonu charged candidates of various political parties to only embark on issue-based campaigns rather than that of name calling and hate.
Chief Mbonu reminded eligible voters of the need to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards which he said is the only tool they will use to enthrone God-fearing and credible leadership.
