Adebutu, who is currently a member of the National Assembly representing Remo North Federal Constituency in the Lower House, stated this while visiting the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, at his Ake Palace, to seek for royal blessing and support.
He had earlier donated four transformers to different communities in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The Chairman House Committee on Rural Development noted that the people of the state, especially those in the grassroots levels deserved good dividends of democracy, hence his resolve to contest for the exalted position.

He insisted that only good governance would bring an end to corrupt practices and promote genuine growth, saying “with proper orientation, fear of God and compassion for others, a leader would able to shun corruption.
“If any leader has the compassion for others at heart, it would be difficult for one to appropriate collective wealth for personal benefits”, he added.
The monarch in his remarks lauded the lawmaker’s gesture to the communities and prayed for Adebutu on his aspiration to be the next governor of the State.
Oba Gbadebo said the lawmaker had the ability and capability to govern the state of given the opportunity to administer Ogun.
