2019: There is absolute confidence in Atiku/Obi ticket, says PDP candidate

THE House of Assembly candidate, vying to represent Awka North state constituency in Anambra state house of Assembly, Hon. Prince Charles Chidubem Okoye, said he and the people of the Southeast “have absolute confidence in the choice of former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi as the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the February 16, 2019, Presidential election.

In a telephone interview with Sunday Tribune, the hopeful lawmaker stated that Obi’s sterling performance and fast economy experience, while he was governor, was the main reason for his being nominated to Vice the income Nigeria President.

“Obi’s Knowledge of the economy was one thing Atiku and the party based their nomination on, and in that aspect, Obi is equal to the task to make the country great”.

He said with the emergence of Atiku/Obi, the country would be rescued from the deep-rooted socio-economic, political, security and moral mess of the APC government of President Mohammadu Buhari.

When asked why the VP position was not given to the south-west zone, like that of the All Progressive Congress (APC), he said with the present situation biting the Nigerian people, the zoning arrangement of the party is for those who will offer dividends of democracy and listing to the called of restructuring and truth federalism, and that there would be a greater sanity, accountability and transparency in the management of the country’s resources if the dual is given the opportunity to govern.

According to him, Mr Peter Obi is a man of integrity, moral rectitude, amazing humility, high intellect and unimpeachable credibility. He is a man of fierce loyalty and absolute trustworthiness who will never do anything in word, thought or deed to undermine his boss.

Okoye, who said with the emergence of Obi, PDP in Anambra state in the forthcoming National and state house of Assemblies election will clinch ninety percent seats, added further that PDP is the best and only vehicle to enact the progressive and broad change this country cries for.

I stand to say this time Nigerians will get it right, he concluded.
