FORMER Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime
APPARENTLY disturbed by the growing disaffection in Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the leadership of the Party in the state yesterday set up a six-man reconciliation committee with a view to assuaging the fraying nerves of aggrieved members of the party.
Dr Nwoye noted that top leaders of the party such as the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, Group Capt. Joe Orji, among others, is useful to the party.

“There is need to meet all aggrieved members and those aspirants who feel annoyed. Talk to them,” he stressed.
Responding on behalf of others, Chime assured that the Committee would do a good job, insisting he was happy over the outcome of the party’s primaries.
“I am happy over the outcome of the primaries if the opposition is not comfortable with your candidates it means you have succeeded. We are going for election strong, on top, he added.
Chime further said, “The system must find a way of appeasing people. We are going to war with the other parties, so it is not time to talk about factions, we are all APC, when we come back, we settle our differences, but we must go for election as one strong APC, we must queue behind our candidates.
“We will make sure that our people are brought back to the mainstream APC I believe before the end of this year, we will have a united party, we will campaign together and shame the opposition,” he stated.
