2019 election: Group endorses Maku for Nasarawa Governorship

A group under the aegis, “Vision 2019,” has thrown weight behind, Hon. Labaran Maku, candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Nasarawa State governorship in the forthcoming election.
According to the group, the endorsement came after wide reaching consultation, which necessitated the decision to arrive at the candidate with track records.
Speaking during Press Conference, Peter Ozuwa, Chairman of the group, said the decision was taken by  various branches of the group from all the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
He said that Maku has proven  capacity to address the insecurity in the state, poor education, corruption and non promotion of civil servants.
“For the past seven years, Maku was the only voice speaking about the bad governance, insecurity, lack of promotion, non payments of pension and gratuity  of retirees among others.
“So, he has identified without plight and has demonstrated his willingness to addressing our challenges,” the Chairman added.
He added that Maku has proven himself as a corrupt free Nigerian in all the offices he held in the past.
“He served as a student leader, Commissioner, Deputy Governor and Minister and nobody has ever called him to explain his activities in the office,” he added.
He further added that the group would mobilise people across the state for the victory of Maku in the March 2 election.
