A Coalition of Concerned Nigerians known as OurMumuDonDo Movement led by ace musician, Charles Oputa a.k.a Charly Boy, on Saturday, urged Nigerians, especially women and youths to go out en masse and get their permanent voters’ card (PVC) to enable them to vote in the candidates’ cum leaders of their choice.

The group made this known at LEA Bako Primary School in Kwali Area Council, Abuja while sensitizing people on the importance of PVC.

Charly Boy reminded them that 2019 general elections are around the corner and the politicians would soon be distributing bags of rice and N1, 000 (One thousand naira) to the electorates in order to seek for their mandates, urging them not to mortgage their future but rather look at the antecedents of such politicians even before giving them audience.

He also urged them to resist rigging in their respective rural communities, saying they should vote for candidates who will make their lives more meaningful.

According to him, this gathering is our usual style to enlighten people that everybody must get their PVCs. That is the first move if truly they want the Change we so much desired. We are the government, we cannot move forward and to restart to hold the leadership accountable.

“It doesn’t make sense that we are led by the very worst of us rather than the very best of us because I know there are well-meaning Nigerians, unique Nigerians, outstanding youths that can lead us, and that is why you see me in the sun running around because I believe that salvation of this country rests in the hands of exceptional youths.

“If you are still collecting money to vote, you are real “mumu” It means your “mumu” never do.” Why will you collect N1, 000 (One thousand naira) to vote and you will be suffering for the next four years? Vote for the candidates of your choice. Choose the leaders of your choice. The leaders we allow to be in power are ruling with impunity.” He lamented.

Other speakers were Conveners of Concerned Nigerians; Campaign for Democracy; Ourmumudondo and MAD Connect; Deji Adeyanju; Adegoke Ariyo; as well as Raphael Adebayo and Moses Paul.
