2019: CD charges Nigerians to go for their PVCs

PVC

CAMPAIGN for Democracy (CD) has urged Nigerians, particularly the youth to ensure that they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) intact in readiness for 2019 Presidential and National Assembly polls, warning that watching the country with “our arms folded is extremely detrimental to our corporate existence” as those currently at the helms of affairs had demonstrated that they had nothing to offer to Nigerians.

CD made the call in a signed statement made available to newsmen in Lagos by its General Secretary, Ifeanyi Odili, affirming that soon after the advent of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Nigerians had further been pillaged, cheated, intimidated, blackmailed and subjected to sub-human beings.

According to the group, Buhari is in his usual character again, recalling that that was what he did between 1983 and 1985 and that Nigerians needed to call it quit to avoid the collapse of the country.

“The present leaders have demonstrated to us all that they have nothing to offer. Soon after the advent of the present administration of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians have further been pillaged, cheated, intimidated, blackmailed and subjected to sub-human beings.

“Present leaders of APC have nothing to offer Nigerians. Besides, Nigeria is coasting towards collapse and it will collapse if we fail to call it quit.

“Buhari in his usual character is at it again, just as he did in 1983-1985. The proposed bill for anti-hate speech is a subtle way of criminally amending chapter IV, Sections 33,34,35,&38 of Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended which we must all come together to put to a halt,” the group said.

The CD expressed strong believe that if Buhari’s government was allowed to continue, he would plunge Nigeria into a state of serious confusion and depression, lamenting: “It is very unfortunate that we overrated Buhari in 2015 such that Nigerians went to the poll and gave him overwhelming votes that gave room to his emergence.”

“However, the situation is not unredeemable, it is redeemable by going to the poll and chase him out.
Buhari cajoled Nigerians into fallen into his contraption through his mistaking anti-corruption posture because Nigerians were desirous of getting a president that will weed Nigeria of endemic corruption.

“Alas! The story is not yet freedom as Nigerians are in pains, the integrity of our youths have been rubbished globally, the glory of the nation is fading out, we have lost confidence in our nationhood, there is general mistrust within and among Nigerians, the secularity of this nation and federal character have been robbed by few individuals, nepotism and tribalism are on the rise. Hence, the need to rise up to the occasion.

“Capping it all, prices of every commodity have soared beyond the reach of an average Nigerians, Naira has been critically devalued.
Buhari’s comment on Nigerian youths exposes PMB intellectual bankruptcy and undiplomatic nature not fit to allow to steer the ship of Nigeria further,” CD lamented further.
