2019: APGA scribe confident of transparent party primaries

A frontline member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, on Political Matters and Inter-Party Affairs, Chief Ben Obi, says the party is building a lifetime ideal that will redefine the Nigerian political patterns.

Chief Obi made the remark while speaking with journalists at the state party secretariat opposite government house, along Enugu-Onitsha expressway Awka, during the declaration of Senator Victor Umeh 2019 senatorial election for Anambra central senatorial district.

Commenting on the APGA benchmarks and preparations for the busy electoral periods, Chief Obi noted that the party is spreading its tentacles across the South East, noting that its unique operational ideals have given it a distinctive status in the comity of political parties in Nigeria.

On defection and how APGA has managed its structure so far, the party scribe said the party represents more than just partisan interests, adding that it is building a united front that will give Ndi Igbo a bargaining power in national politics.

He added that the party retreat which brings all the aspirants and party members together to work out a modality to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and credible pre-election plans is another way to entrench oneness and solidarity.

He, therefore, called on those who wish to contest for various public offices under the party, to do so noting that the process would be transparent for all aspirants.
