Senator Ibikunle Amosun
THE Chief of Staff to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Chief Tolu Odebiyi, has resigned his appointment Friday.
His resignation was to enable him to realise his political ambition. He was appointed on January 2017.
Odebiyi is the Ogun West Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
In a statement made available to Tribune Online/Saturday Tribune, the former CoS thanked Amosun for the opportunity given him to serve the people of the State.
Odebiyi described Amosun as a visionary leader who impacted positively on the socio-economic development of the state.
He equally expressed gratitude to members of the State Executive Council for their support and cooperation during the period he served as the Chief of Staff.
He vowed to work in the interest of the state in all ramifications and prayed for peaceful general elections in 2019 while thanking the people of the State for their support towards Amosun’s administration.
Meanwhile, the Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organisation had announced Engr (Mrs) Nimot Salako-Oyedele as the deputy governorship candidate of Prince Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress.
Salako-Oyedele emerged the best out of the names put forward for the position following a thorough screening exercise conducted by leaders, elders and stakeholders of the party.
The 52-year -old woman is said to be a multi-talented professional with over 30 years of proven records of experience in Consulting, Contracting and Real Estate Sectors.
She holds a Masters degree in Public Health Engineering from the Imperial College of Science & Technology London, UK, a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos.
