2019: Alex Oti to replicate good governance in Anambra ―Obiano

INFORMATION has it that, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) may be on the path of clinching the Abia State government house, as the former Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank PLC, Dr Alex Oti, has again presented himself as the flag bearer for the party in the forthcoming 2019 gubernatorial election in the State.

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, at Ngwa High School field Aba,
venue of the campaign flag off on Friday declared support for Dr Oti whom he said will hopefully replicate good governance as obtained in Anambra,
to entrench transparency and accountability.

Obiano who doubles as the Chairman Board of Trustees BoT, of the party, emphasized that Anambra testimony of twenty-one over twenty victory during its November 18, 2017, gubernatorial election was because the people protected their votes, urged the Abia electorate to do the same when the time comes.

Senator Victor Umeh while introducing Dr Oti before the party supporters, described APGA as the Igbo identity, adding that Dr Oti will help unite Ndi Igbo to have a stronger voice at the National level.

Senator Umeh said that having been a part of Dr Oti’s campaign in 2015 where his mandate was stolen, urged the people of the state to help him reclaim his mandate for good governance.

Responding, The APGA hopeful for the gubernatorial election in Abia State, Dr Alex Oti, noted that they protected their votes in 2015, but it was stolen, urging his people to be steadfast with their PVCs and support him in his struggle to reclaim his lost mandate, adding that
protection of votes come 2019 is a collective effort.

Earlier, in his remark, the Deputy Chairman of APGA South, Mr Uchenna Okagbue revealed that APGA is a party that supports people with pedigree and not just anybody.

About sixty-two aspirants into different elective positions who want to use the party platform for 2019 election including House of Rep. member representing Njikoka/Anaocha/Dunukofia Federal constituency of Anambra, Honourable Dozie Nwankwo (APGA), former National Secretary of the party Alhaji Sani Shinkafi, Transition Committee Chairmen in Anambra, among others were all on ground to support Dr Alex Oti in his quest to become the next Governor of Abia State.
