Lagosians have been called upon to rally round the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje, in order to emerge governor and free Lagos from the stranglehold of servitude and oppression.

The call came from a PDP chieftain in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, who lauded the emergence of Mr Agbaje as the Lagos State PDP governorship candidate in 2019 in a statement made available to Tribune Online on Saturday in Warri, Delta State.

He said his at the PDP primary was a victory for Lagosians and Nigerians, adding that the pharmacist would emerge victorious as the state governor in 2019.

Onuesoke, a former PDP governorship aspirant, enjoined Lagosians to vote en mass for Mr Agbaje, stressing that the end of APC and God-fatherism has come to an end in Lagos.

He urged Lagosians to break away from the norm and witness rapid development more than they could  imagine by rallying their supports for Agbaje.

Onuesoke maintained that several people are tired of the continued stranglehold of a godfather on Lagos’s politics which, he averred, has retarded development in the state.

He added that a little coordination with the angry and disappointed APC members in the state would see to the emergence of Jimi Agbaje as the next governor of the state.

“What Lagosans should understand is that Agbaje’s fortune of winning Lagos state is brighter now than it was in 2015.

“We can still remember that with APC solidly united, he narrowly lost to Ambode.

“Note that the Lagos APC is now in turmoil. Lagos State belongs to everyone,” vote en mass for Agbaje.

“I see him winning Lagos by a landslide. Please, we need your thumbs to make Agbaje the next governor of Lagos State. You will be happy you did,” the Delta PDP chieftain pleaded.
