2017 ADVAN Summit: Advertisers set to discuss marketing future

Published by

A discourse on the future of marketing, with the Group Managing Director of one of the nation’s financial institutions, Diamond Bank, Mr Uzoma Dozie, delivering a keynote address at the event,  would form the main thrust of this year’s annual marketing summit, the Marketers Day, usually organised by the  Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN).

Tagged ‘Marketing Next’, besides having its thematic thrusts woven around the future of marketing business,  the discussion, according to the association, would also provide practitioners in the industry clues on how to enhance their skills.

The  association’s  Executive Secretary, Mrs Ediri Ose-Ediale, explained that the  event, which usually serves as part of activities marking the association’s annual general meeting, will also seek to highlight trends, technologies and innovations that are fast emerging in the global marketing space, and how it will ultimately affect and shape the Nigerian marketing communications industry.

She stated that this year’s edition of the annual event will bring together, marketers, advertising practitioners, communications experts and industry leaders, for a robust and stimulating session, which includes business meeting and annual general meeting.

Ediri described the discourse as a fulfillment of one of the association’s key objectives of  building marketing capabilities, maximise performance and growth among  its members.

“The ADVAN Marketers Day is a platform for the discourse of marketing information and best practices in Nigeria,” she stated.

The Association, a  member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a body of marketing associations in over 55 countries of the world, was founded over twenty years ago, to advocate the interest of the marketing industry in Nigeria by spearheading and ensuring global best practices as well as facilitating collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
