COURT
THE police on Tuesday arraigned one Alhaji Ademola Abbas and Kehinde Garba in a Kubwa Grade1 Area Court, Abuja, over alleged misappropriation.
The defendants were charged with criminal breach of trust, misappropriation and cheating.
The prosecutor, John Okpa, told the court that the defendants acted in a fraudulent manner, deceived one Auta Galadima into delivering two cows each to them.

He said Abbas received the said cows in the pretence to sell and remit the money to Galadima within one week, but instead, he sold them and misappropriated N310, 000.
He further said that Garba also received two cows valued at N470, 000 from Galadima, sold the cows and diverted N100, 000 without the complainant’s consent.
Okpa said the offences contravened Sections 312, 309 and 322 of the Penal Code.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.
The judge, Ibrahim Balarabe, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100, 000, with one surety each in like sum, and adjourned the matter until June 26 for hearing.
