187 killed, 1,153 injured in 373 crashes in Bauchi ― FRSC

IT has been confirmed that no fewer than 187 people were killed in various road crashes across Bauchi State between January and December 2018 as contained in a data statistics of Road Traffic Crashes obtained by our Correspondent from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi Sector Command.

According to the statistics, 1,143 people sustained varying degrees of injuries in the 373 different road crashes during the period while  a total of 2,194 people and 430 vehicles were involved in the road crashes

Within the same period, the data indicated that 106 of the accidents were fatal, 255 serious while 15 were minor just as the statistics in February, August and December and February recorded the highest number of deaths of, 19, 21 and 20 respectively.

The least number of deaths were recorded in the months of  April, July and October, April and July which had 12, 12 and 10 respectively.

The statistics also indicated that 130 people were injured in April, 124 in February, 117 in May, 117 in June, too. August, January, November and March recorded the least injured with 66, 73, 71 and March respectively.
