According to the Daily Trust, the teenager abruptly jumped into the well, much to the surprise of several inhabitants, just after engaging in a cordial chat with neighbours in the compound.

The service’s spokesperson, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, confirmed the incidence in a statement on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, and stated the retrieved corpse had been turned over to her family.

“On the 7th of November 2023, at 18:46 hours, the Kwara State Fire Service responded to an emergency rescue operation in the Ile-olodo Ita Merin – Alore area of Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area Kwara State,” the statement read.
