The organisers of Nigeria’s most prestigious music award, the Headies, have announced the nominees for its 17th edition, with American singer Chloe Bailey securing a nomination in the International Artiste of the Year category.
This year’s event, set to take place in Lagos on April 5, 2025, marks the return of the Headies to Nigeria after the previous edition was held in the United States.
Bailey, whose relationship with Nigerian music star Burna Boy was recently made public, earned a spot on the list for her collaboration on Vision Remix with rising Afrobeats singer Qing Madi.
She faces stiff competition from an impressive lineup of global stars, including Wale for Blood on the Dance Floor with Odumodublvck, Skepta for Tony Montana featuring Portable, Chris Brown for Hmmm with Davido, and Travis Scott for Active with Asake.
