17 years after mother’s death: Portable clarifies decision to relocate mother’s remains

CONTROVERSIAL Nigerian artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has addressed the public regarding his recent decision to exhume and re-bury his late mother’s remains, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding this controversial move.

In a video shared via social media, Portable revealed the reason behind his actions, explaining that the original burial site of his mother had been sold, compelling him to undertake the emotional task of relocating her remains.

Portable now 30, recalled the painful loss he endured at the tender age of 13 when his mother died, expressing the necessity of ensuring her final resting place was secure, despite the unforeseen sale of the land.

“I tragically lost my mother when I was just 13 years old. I had to relocate her remains because the land where she was initially laid to rest had been sold,” Portable recounted in the widely circulated video.

Speaking on his love for cars and houses, the music star, in an interview revealed that he has 20 cars which include a Range Rover and a G-Wagon. The singer further made it known that he has 10 mansions and is currently building a hotel. According to Portable, he is building his hotel in Ogun State, has both completed and uncompleted buildings, and has built a market.

Portable further revealed that the bad roads in Nigeria have spoilt most of his cars as he appealed to the President and the governor of Ogun State to fix the roads.

He added that though he might live in the trenches, he doesn’t live a trenches life nor does he live a fake lifestyle.
