Sixteen persons were burnt to death on Tuesday afternoon in a lone accident that occurred at Buhari Estate, Kobape, along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Public Education Officer, Florence Okpe, the accident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. and involved a commercial bus with the registration number KJA 949 YJ.

Okpe attributed the unfortunate incident to a gas explosion, explaining that a total of 21 passengers were on board.
