NOT lesser than 108 students, drawn from various states in the country will participate in the second stage of this year’s Cowbellpedia Mathematics television quiz show scheduled to commence on Saturday.
This was contained in a press release that was made available to Tribune Online on Thursday.
Tribune Online learnt that the participants vying for the ultimate prize of N1million with free educational excursion outside the country. The teacher of the winning students will receive N400, 000, while the first and the second runners-up will go home with N750, 000 and N500, 000 respectively. There will also be plaques, mathematics textbooks and a desktop computer for the winners.
According to Mr Abiodun Ayodeji, a senior staff of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, programme , the organisers of the competition, stated that the programme is aimed at discovering and celebrating young scientists and inventors in the country
He said: “In the 2015 edition, students of Adeyemi Demonstration Secondary School, Ondo, Ondo State and Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja emerged winners. While Ayodeji Akinkuowo of Adeyemi Demonstration College won in the senior category, Munachi Ernest-Eze of Loyola Jesuit won in the junior category.
