‘10 Days in Sun City’ set for cinemas in June

Nigerian comedian, actor, filmmaker and businessman, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, is set, for the release of his new movie, dubbed 10 Days in Sun City.

The star-studded movie will be open to box offices across Nigeria on June 23.

‘10 Days in Sun City’ features acts such as Mercy Johnson, RMD, Adesua Etomi, 2Baba Idibia and Fathia Balogun.

Though trailed with criticisms, AY’s works have come to be known for their successes in the box office.

He made his debut as a filmmaker in 2014 with “30 Days in Atlanta,” which grossed 137 million naira, becoming the third highest grossing Nollywood movie ever. His second outing was in 2016 with “A Trip to Jamaica,” which grossed 178 million naira. ‘10 Days in Sun City’ is AY’s third movie project in the movie industry.

In January 2017, Makun announced that he was working on a new movie and on May 8, 2017, a teaser for the movie was released on Filmone’s YouTube channel.

Makun has also been criticised for being  reserved about the marketing of what can be described as one of the most star-studded movies of 2017. Different sources agree that the movie is yet to enjoy the heavy publicity campaign that had heralded two of his productions.

In spite of the odds, fingers have been crossed in anticipation of an outstanding turnout come June 23.
